A tribute to the ancestral know-how linked to the leather crafts, Orto Parisi's Cuoium is a powerful fragrance combining the character of leather with the warmth of incense and the sweetness of violet, revived by the citrus freshness of mandarin. The fragrance is enhanced by a rusted metal cap inlaid with a vegetable-tanned leather logo. Among the Orto Parisi fragrances, Cuoium is the only fragrance to be sold with a removable and reusable vegetable leather cover.

Made in Italy

From cuoio, ‘leather’ in Italian. If the dark encasing didn’t give it away, this fragrance explores leather as a phenomenon: a product of human hands and tools which make contact with animal hide. Leather is worked and loved – material is made supple with hard work. It recapitulates human history, an initial turn towards refinement whilst calling to mind tanneries, smoke, and floral scented leather. The intense olfactory contrast of untreated skin is trailed by the pure and faint scent of flowers and citruses. Its power rings a potent and memorable sound, deep and resonant with smoke notes of cade and incense. It is a spicy, animalic, earthy, and determined fragrance.

Too much leather is a headache

So, remember Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather? Civet pee and cocaine? This is Orto Parisi doing it. Just whiney, sharp and anxiety-inducing violet leaf/leather. Aqua Di Parma's Leather is what you're looking for, but you went too far and bought this instead.
