Mousse Illuminee is a hypnotic scent - as if shadows were made to shine. It explodes an image of green and grey lichen – the breath of the forest captured in a mixture of fuzzy mosses, the dry warmth of bay leaf, and bitter artemisia. Its predominant note is oakmoss, which comes to the fore with a uniquely inky and balsamic feeling, all cloaked in a veil of silvery light and black shadow. This becomes a play much like the experience of dusk deep in the forest, where light filters through a canopy of aromatic pine trees and wild grasses and flowers. It is dry, spicy, and resinous and enchantingly radiant with a shimmering sillage, its haunting feeling furthered with the pure and cool touch of frankincense.

Mousse Illuminee has no skeleton per se, but has a clearly defined shape in space. Never slouchy, it floats, trails, and lingers with a slightly woody and smoky feeling, both cool and warm. Its scent extends across the wearer to imbue the atmosphere with its distinctive sensation, rich with contrasts and contradictions.
