- Still Undecided
not quite the scent i would normally go for but its light enough that even if you didn't like it, it wouldn't really matter.
Does it make my shave easier or give me less irritation... yes... but i have to use too much of it at this stage.
I have done probably 10 shaves with this and my TOB's Sandlewood cream and i need to use about 6-10 drops of this to make a difference. for the price of this stuff, i just cant afford to use that much per shave. so unless its one of those products that you settle into and find the sweet spot, i wont be buying it again, purely based on cost.
it works but its too light and silky on my face so doesnt give the coverage and protection i like and need as i have really sensitive skin and I have to use a pre shave oil, they are a necessity for me not a luxury.
- Closer shave without nicks
- Doesn't help the shave whatsoever
The Truefitt & Hill oil is pleasant enough and oil to the touch but doesn't add anything to the shave.
Save your money and go for King of Shaves oil.
- Works Great - I love it.
I have tried using various shaving creams and gels, but regardless of brand or type, find that when used in conjuction with this oil, I get a much smoother and closer shave with less drag, nicks and irritation.
Other shaving oils that I have used have left me feeling greasy and uncomfortable but this absorbs quickly while continuing to work throughout the shave. The perfume is nice and fresh but not overwhelming and fades quickly. Highly recommended.
- Don't waste your money
In fact, I've found no matter how little or much I put on, what soap or cream I use or even with a new blade, the razor jumps and bumps along my face.
I've used American Crew, Art of Shaving and King of Shaves oils before and they all cost less than half as much and are twice as good as the Truefitt. Also my brush doesn't lather as well using the oil either.
