Taylor's Rose Shaving Cream combines English Rose with a soft woody base of Cedar and Sandalwood. This classic scent is Taylor's number one seller in England. Can be used with or without a brush.

Scoop out an almond sized amount and use a shaving brush to work up a lather. Apply to beard and wait 2 minutes to allow hair to soften. Cream may also be applied directly to the face and worked into a lather using your fingers. Shave and rinse. Ideally shave straight after a shower or hold a hot, wet towel over your face for a few minutes to soften the hairs.

An Excellent Product

You can quibble about the various fragrances, but the lather and the quality of the resultant shave, with a decent blade, speak for themselves. I've use this product for years and it never disappoints.

Great scent, great shave

I recently purchased Taylor of Old Bond Street's Rose shaving cream after trying it in the TOBS sampler pack and finding it to be my favourite scent. The rose scent is really great - it is reasonably strong out of the tub however fades to a really pleasant, light scent post-shave that I found lingered throughout the day. If I shave at night, it is generally unnoticeable the next day. Unless I rush my shave and this generally gives me an irritation free shave. Recommended.

It's rose but is it a great rose?

Firstly as a shave cream the TOBS Rose does the job very well. But to my nose the rose scent seemed a little artificial.

Great shave

The consistency of TOBS Rose is closer to a soft soap than a soft cream. The lather, slickness and protection are all great, post-shave feel is excellent for my sensitive skin and it goes great with Trumper's Coral skin food. My only complaint is that the scent is quite sweet and strong to my uncultured nose, and I wouldn't use this cream more than a couple of times a week for that reason.
