No avocado Review by: flavius 1/08/2018
There is no trace of avocado in the ingredients of this cream.
Delicious smelling Review by: Rob 7/10/2017
If you are a fan of avocado, like me, then you simply can’t go wrong with this shave cream. Although personally I prefer Coconut flavour shave cream, they are both front runners to me.
Easy to lather and moisturising Review by: Benjamin 15/12/2016
Easiest stuff to lather, nice scent and keeps my face smooth.
As Advertised Review by: Greg 29/08/2016
This stuff is so easy to lather, and the scent is only just there to me and quite pleasant. Leaves me quite quickly and if you use any other scent it overlays it anyway. Highly recommend..
Still my favourite Review by: Matthew 11/04/2016
I got this in a starter pack and found it incredibly easy to use, with great results. I then decided to move away from "starter" gear, but what a mistake that was. Other soaps feel harsher on my face, are quite strongly scented and don't lather nearly as well.

A year later and I'm using this again - and probably won't look at switching for a very long time!
Great latherer, ladies scent. Review by: Fester 26/03/2016
The TOBS Avocado Shaving Cream is a champion for making lots of rich and creamy lather in no time. But I marked it down because I can't live with the scent (as others have noted more like cucumber than avocado) which is overlaid by a stronger sweetly floral perfume that lingers on the face, and brush! Purely a matter of personal preference of course and others may love it.
Luscious lather that moisturises the skin! Review by: John 18/11/2015
I discovered TOBS while I was travelling in London. I walked in the store and I felt like a kid walking in a lolly shop! My senses were awakened by the many products I sampled and bought. Ever since that day, I have been hooked! This Avocado Shaving Cream is a welcome addition to my favourite TOBS products! It's funny how our senses remind us of pleasant (and unpleasant) experiences. This cream takes me back to my first experience in the famous flagship store in Jermyn Street, London. I highly recommend this product! It's worth it, trust me. :)
I've primarily used the Proraso line of products, but the idea of an Avocado shave cream appealed to me. I was not disappointed, although I notice that it doesn't really contain "natural" avocado as an ingredient. The resulting shave is smooth and irritation free. There is no noticeable scent on the skin afterward, which may turn-off some users. Overall, a positive experience!
Great for newbies to traditional shaving. Review by: Rob 24/09/2014
I selected this as part of my DE pack and wasn't disappointed. I also bought a Col. Conk Bay Rum soap but the TOBS was so much easier to get a good later for a newbie without having to worry too much about too much or too little water. An almond sized amount picked from the bowl is plenty enough for a shave.

The scent is fairly soft, definitely not overpowering but is what I would call a nice 'clean' scent. It won't function as an aftershave, but the scent will hang around for a while post shave.

I think this will end up on my list soaps & creams.
Great product Review by: Adam 30/04/2014
Got this as a tester for free from this website and it stuck I won't use anything else
Great cream I would recommend Review by: Noel 10/02/2014
This is my second shaving cream since I started wet shaving and it is really good. I have skin that is sensitive to scents but had no problems with this mild shaving cream. Getting it out of the bowl to lather in my mug without putting a lot of water in the bowl was an adjustment given previously I used a tube but once I got the hang of it I had absolutely no problems or complaints. It also smells fantastic. I would Highly recommend this.
Ticks most boxes Review by: Clinton 19/12/2013
I really enjoy the avocado fragrance as it is a little different from what I am used to. It lathers extremely well without the need of a brush and a little bit goes a long way which I believe makes it good value for money. My only dislike is the packaging. So much room for improvement. Overall an excellent buy and one that I shall recommend to friends.
An Absolute Must. Review by: Paul 25/11/2013
Nice scent and magnificent performance.
A must for any wet shaver.
A well regarded product that disappointed Review by: Mr. Cheese 18/04/2013
I bought this some time ago and ended up using about a third of a tube. This stuff smells just like my dishwashing liquid, no appeal whatsoever. Secondly, no matter the ratio of product to water or the amount of either, it seemed to offer next to no protection for me. To make matters worse, it stings on my skin.

I've owned several TOBS products (avo. cream, jermyn st cream, lavender soap) as well as a few samples (lemon lime, almond, grapefruit creams), and they've all stung on my skin and smelt like chemicals. The soap did perform well though, and although the scent was artificial I did enjoy that one. I think the performance issue with this one could be down to quality control, but I haven't been terribly impressed with the others I've tried. Their colognes all stink too (of the 6 or 7 that I've tried). Obviously some of this is subjective, but I haven't been left with such an impression from any other company, and I believe that I've given them a pretty good chance.
Smells great Review by: Jody 29/01/2013
Tempted to put this on a sandwich it smells so good. Lathers well, only bad thing is that it seems to dry out on my skin rather quickly and I need to keep adding a dab of water.
Great product at a good price Review by: Rodham 28/12/2012
I have tried the Sandalwood version of this previously and was impressed enough to try a different 'flavour' in the range. The avacado lathers just as well, if not better than the Sandalwood and has a great smell. Doesn't seem to smell like avacado, just a great smell and I get a great shave from it.
Great product Review by: Paul 15/12/2012
My wife pays several hundred dollars a year for facials..... This cream will last me forever and I'm sure my skin is softer than hers now!

Thi is a great product, use it often.

I cannot tell you how much more she wants to brush my smooth face now ;-)

Fantastic Review by: Theo 13/12/2012
WOW, what a great cream i like it better than some of the hard soaps i've used. no nicks and cuts just a great smooth shave.
every day cream Review by: canook 20/08/2012
A perfect "every day" cream, especially for dry places or winter. Seems to moisturise best out of all Taylor's creams and offers tremendous glide for the razor.
I love the smell, but I can't say it smells like Avacado. I'm not sure what the smell is but it is very pleasantly unusual - almost floral.
Great for a noob like me Review by: nb 10/11/2011
First attempt at DE shaving and was VERY happy with this stuff. I can't really compare it to much else as yet but this stuff has definitely inspired me to keep at it. Very smooth, creamy feel and for someone who hates the taste of avocados, this stuff smelt really nice! :) Very happy with this as my first choice.
Definitely recommend Review by: Richo 1/10/2011
This soap has a great smell and like other TOB soaps makes a rich utilitarian lather. My philosophy on shaving is that if you have to do it, might as well enjoy it, and a nice soap like this certainly helps.
The real deal Review by: Stonie 17/08/2011
Can't go wrong here! instant lather, very slick shave, sent is better than it sounds. All TOBS creams are good and this is one of the best. Sandalwood is also worth checking out (used with badger brush and Merkur slant bar).
Awesome Review by: Ben 8/03/2011
I was a bit skeptical at first but this really is a great smelling cream. Probably the best TOBS cream I have used.
Not my fave TOBS Review by: Roger 8/03/2011
Oddly enough, I find this smells just like the St James, which is nice and fresh, although scents are a distant second to performance for me. I get the same performance as the St James too, which is ok, but I guess I was expecting more from what is widely regarded as TOBS best performer. I much prefer Mr Taylor, it just has something extra in glide, closeness, and comfort of shave.
Very good Review by: Chris 8/03/2011
A subtle fragrance and very lubricating. A relaxing shave. Good for evenings and weekends, or if your face feels beat up. Or any time really. Its very good.
Top notch product. Review by: Michael 8/03/2011
TOBS make some great creams - but this one takes the cake. Very lubricating, zero razor burn. Lathers like crazy with my silver tip brush.
Refreshing Scent, Great Shave Review by: Greg 8/03/2011
The scent of this reminds me of freshly sliced cucumber, which is a little novel in a shave cream and strangely enjoyable. Consistently gives me an irritation free shave.
A solid performer Review by: Steve 8/03/2011
I found TOBS avocado a solid performer, as a shaving cream it's a high quality, reliable product capable of producing a rich lather and high quality shave. It has a very "soapy" smell to it which was fine to begin with or if fragrance isn't an issue, but for me got quite bland after extensive use.
Sorry... Review by: Roger 8/03/2011
I owe an apology to TOBS Avo from the review below. Either I was a bit stingy loading my brush, I had a couple of dud blades, or the fat Boar I'm breaking in had something to do with it. This is a top cream, equal to my favoured Mr T.
