Tauer Phi-Une Rose De Kandahar is a luxurious scent, inspired by a natural extract of roses produced in Afghanistan's rose region, Nangarhar. Opening with a rich, fruity line of apricot, blending into cinnamon and hints of bitter almond, softened by bergamot essential oil. These spices lead over to voluptuous roses in the fragrance heart: extremely rare rose essential oil with its unique scent of spices, plums and flower petals blends into rose absolute from Bulgaria and hints of Bourbon Geranium. The animalic, leathery and woody tobacco opens the ground for a generously dosed layer of patchouli in the base. Vetiver, vanilla and tonka add richness and brilliance. A generous dose of musk and amber gris round the body of the fragrance and encircle the roses.

Fragrance Family:
Floral

Main Notes:
Almond, Apricot, Rose, Tobacco, Tonka Bean, Musk

Concentration:
Eau de Parfum

Occasion:
A supremely refined all-season fragrance. Wonderfully worn dressed up.

Made in Switzerland

The connoisseur's rose, PHI employs a rare rose essential oil from Nangarhar. A scent for the dandies, PHI is redolent of classic Guerlain works like Habit Rouge, Vetiver, and Shalimar. Imbued is a uniquely vintage vibe and an Oriental lick. A blushing rose of discreet and distinguished powdery elegance is met with a cool gust of tobacco, apricot, and pale almond, then combined with a beautifully refined note of amber and mature vanilla.

Rose de Kandahar

Andy Tauer loves to take something and put a unique spin on it. This is why we all love his creations. And Rose de Kandahar is no exception. Rose dominant fragrances are my jam, and Andy my friend, you knocked this one outa the park! So why did I only give it 4 stars? It's the pH of MY skin that changes the undertone of this fragrance (it didn't happen on others that tried it...so they gave it 5 stars). I am left with what I can only describe as a 'rich-baby nappy' undertone. Of course, I am not talking about a 'full nappy', more a new nappy/diaper, just out of the box. So, in short, I do recommend this masterpiece, BUT be sure to try a sample of this on YOUR skin before committing to a full bottle.

Edible Rose

You know you've found a perfume that's full bottle worthy when you get to the end of your sample/ decant and you're left wanting more. I don't believe that I've fully unwrapped the mystery of this scent, it's a powdery soft rose with strong edible facets and just a pinch of added salt and citrus. But there's more too it, I get all kinds of things poking through as it develops, there's something green about it at times (possibly geranium or patchouli?) and every now and then it becomes dry which I assume is tobacco. Still, I think the best adjective for this little rose scent is "delicious" and I can see myself returning to it for a long time. I've wanted a rose scent in my collection for a while and this is a strong contender.

A true immersive sculpture.

A huge hit of apricot extract overwhelms the sense at first, with hints of fresh bergamot oil. The bitter almond and elegant rose oil really drive this one home, before tobacco leaf acts as a transitional point into a soft and smoky base. A true immersive sculpture.

Familiar yet unique.

Great find. Certainly not your typical men's fragrance. The rose notes make it stand out from the crowd, yet it a remains familiar scent. Reminds me of Turkish delight and talcum powder.
