Tauer Attar speaks in Arabian language; it is pure undiluted perfume oil and needs the skin's warmth to bloom. The fragrance is dark, leathery and animalic. Creamy sandalwood from Mysore balances an Arabian wood accord. Jasmin absolute from Egypt adds a floral undertone. Earthy vetiver oil from Java and black cistus oil from Spain add to the aromatic aura of the attar. The Tauer attar blooms and lasts on skin but follows the tradition: an attar always comes with an element of modesty. Made in Switzerland.
Editor's Notes: Andy Tauer creating an attar fragrance is the natural progression in his desert series: from the vast landscape of L’Air du Desert Marocain, the intimate heart in Au Coeur, and now the absolute soul, capturing its essence in attar format. This is traditional and ancient perfumery - worn close to the skin in thick and undiluted format, rich with hauntingly concentrated essences of birch tar, castoreum, dark vetiver, and dry woods. It makes sense, for once you’ve explored the desert it’s time to explore its culture and practices.
