Carefully made by skilled English craftspeople, the Simpsons Platinum Fibre Duke 3 Synthetic Brush is a highly regarded short and compact brush with an extremely dense knot, giving it a versatile size and weight. The traditional simulated ivory handle has been hand turned and packed meticulously, following a 90+ year old tradition. Formed using premium grade synthetic fibres designed to imitate badger hair, the brush offers ultra-soft tips, excellent backbone and faster drying.

To use, immerse bristles in clean, warm water and shake off excess. Apply shaving cream to wet brush and use a circular motion to work up a creamy lather. Always rinse the brush in clean water after use and do not boil or soak.

Perfect brush to make lather for a 3-4 pass shave

Another excellent synthetic brush from Simpsons. I've been using the Chubby 2 synthetic for just over a year now. I love it, but due to the size of the brush I do tend to make a lot of extra lather with it that goes to waste. This Duke 3 is roughly 2/3 the size of the Chubby 2, and performs very similarly. Good backbone, and the bristles feel quite soft on the face. Makes enough lather for 4 full passes with some to spare.

Compared to a badger brush it doesn't hold as much water, but the performance is just as good. I'm a synthetic convert.
