This was the first shaving cream I tried when converting from cartridge to double edge razor shaving. I bought this as well as a Vulfix 2233 super badger shave brush (awesome, soft, but a little small) and learnt how to make a proper lather. Proraso shave cream is easy to build a lather from and there is quite a bit of leeway with the water to product ratio. I've always found the cream to work well at softening my coarse whiskers and did not realise how well this cream did that until I tried others. The scent is very much to my liking and during the day I find myself trying to fan the odour from my cheeks into my nose so I can continually experience the scent. Although I have found my skin reacts to certain shave soaps/creams I have never had a problem with this one.

For whatever reason this makes the thickest lather. Better than any of the other proraso products in my opinion.

The scent is a little medical and for me off putting at first but has grown on me and i have become strangely addicted.

Smells great with a rich creamy texture - perfect for any type of razor it really gets in and makes for a squeaky clean fresh face.

Wowzers, after hearing so many good things about Proraso products, I thought I'd give them a go rather than sticking to the same old Col. Conk Bay rum and TOBS.

The scent is quite nice, I'll give it that, but this product has turned me off trying any other shaving products. I've got a pretty thick and fast growing beard, so thought this would be a great product, however, after trying it, I've never had anything burn like this. It left my face feeling like I'd had chemical burns and I've had to slop moisturiser and aloe all over my face each time I've used it. I wouldn't say it's a very lubricated shave either. It's now 12 hours since my last shave and my face is still raw from it. I'm not sure whether this is an odd tube from the factory, that has an imbalance of something (maybe to much lactic acid?) in it which causes the irritation, or possibly it's only designed for a single pass, but either way I'll be throwing this tube out.

I used it a few times just to see if it was something I'd done, but now after searching the net and finding others that have had the same reaction, I'll be steering clear of it.

This cream provides a comfortable shave with a very nice scent. Not quite the best performing cream but good value. i much prefer this to the green tube version of Proraso.
