Secret Weapon. Review by: Bevan 21/02/2018
Rating:
These blades are my secret weapon for a super close shave on skin that is easily irritated.

I bought my five pack of these blades sometime ago and ever since have added a five pack to each Mens Biz Order. They are almost as sharp as Feathers but do not irritate my sensitive skin. They are silky smooth. Like shaving with a lazer. With a light touch I am garneted a smooth close shave. Three shaves is the limit before the Gillette blades cause irritation. This is equal to the life I get with the Personna Super Stainless Blades (Blues). These blades have become my regular choice for my daily shave and always yield an excellent result.
Cant go wrong Review by: Jack 12/03/2017

Found these to be only slightly less sharp than the yellow pack of Gillette blades, but caused far less irritation. I'd opt for these if you have sensitive skin
DECENT Review by: Chris 15/02/2017
Rating:
These are decent blades, however I have found Astra blades much better for myself personally. Definitely worth a shot!
These are fine in my Merkur 38c Review by: Azza 13/01/2017

I had no problem with these in the razor above. Smooth shave, very sharp, no problems.
A fine balance Review by: Chris 19/11/2014
Rating:
I feel like these blades have received a bit of a bum rap. In both my Merkur 34C and 37C they have provided, smooth, comfortable shaves, with a good balance of sharpness and smoothness. Good for about 3 or 4 shaves -- average for me. All in all, a reliable workhorse that falls only slightly behind Astra (my go-to blade) and is superior to Personna Lab Blues, Feathers and Merkurs. Well worth a try, says I!
Wax your face for less damage... Review by: Rivfader 23/09/2013
Rating:
Decided to try this blade in order to make personal recommendations to others.

I have fine hair of medium density with a full, even facial distribution and skin sensitive to against the grain shaving. My skin is also sensitive to some soaps, causing a slight burning sensation.

At an angle of 10-20 degrees, this blade struggles to cut my hair and instead tugs at it. Blade cuts at 30-45 degrees but with difficulty and is highly prone to love biting, resulting in bleeding. In this instance, I changed to a fresh blade to ensure it wasn't a rogue blade. The same problem occurred. I immediately performed a third blade change to an Astra Platinum and at 10 degrees it slide over my face free of irritation and tugging.

For reference, I found Merkur Platinums to cut well at 30 degrees with some gentle tugging and low bite risk and Shark blades to perform the same as the 7'oclock SS, except the Sharks were impossible to be bitten by, even at 45 degrees where the Shark oddly performs at its best. I literally can hack at my face with a Shark and it would not bite at all, I cannot say the same for the 7'oclock SS which defied physics and left my facial hair intact while giving me the opportunity to use a whole, unused styptic pencil in one sitting to save the remaining 4.5 litres of blood I had left.

If your skin and hair match my personal description and you cannot locate an S&M club nearby, then treat yourself to this fine product, guaranteed to induce pleasure through pain.

If you simply share my skin and hair traits, then I recommend 2 blades to sample:

Astra Platinums (Use at 10-20 deg., smoothest blade I know resulting in no irritation and very low bite chance, lasts 4-5 shaves).

Feather (Use at 10-20 deg., sharpest blade I know [they make microtome blades so no surprise there!], relatively smooth with low bite chance but be careful with fresh blades as some don't play nice until broken in, lasts 4-6 shaves).
Ticks all the boxes Review by: Stephen 25/06/2013

I find these blades do their job without giving me grief. They provide me a smooth easy shave with no irritation, which in turn makes the shave that more enjoyable.
A bit rough! Review by: Paul 25/06/2013

Found these a but rough on my skin, gave them a few days but still made my face a little angry.
A Shocking Experience Review by: Ben 15/04/2012
Rating:
This was the first time I have ever had to change a blade mid-shave.

A new box opened, with a new one of these blades and within the first couple of strokes it felt like the blade was ripping out my stubble follicle by follicle, rather than cutting.

Swapped out to another brand of razor and threw the rest of these in the bin. Will keep well clear of these in the future.
Excellent blade Review by: Karl 20/07/2011
Rating:
Of the three packs offered by Mensbiz this seems to me to be the middle ground. The green pack blades seem to be slightly sharper than the black pack although the black is gentler to my face (and my favourite of the 3).

This blade is is easy to shave with and a great place to start your search for your perfect match. Doesn't have the "singing edge" of the feathers or astras but is very nice to use and priced well.

Longevity was average for me. I didn't notice them wear out any faster or slower than other blades.

Try them. I think you'll like them.
Bottom Line is correct Review by: Craig 28/06/2011
Rating:
Sharp yet forgiving blade is right on the money. This has just the right amount of sharpness for a great shave without irritation. The only downside, and it's very minor, is that sweet spot doesn't last. I bin them after 2 shaves.
The best blades I have found Review by: Mark 8/06/2011
Rating:
Good to see them on Mensbiz. Close to Feathers sharpness (70-80%) but without the irritation that Feathers gave me.
