About 4-6 shaves from a blade is typical. As soon as the edge starts to dull, replace it. It doesn’t matter which side of the blade faces up, and turning it over after a few shaves won’t make any difference.

The best

Best blades by far

Japanese engineering at its finest, very sharp and lasts longer than other blades I have used. These blades complement the Merkur Futur very well by its selectable 1-6 sensitive to aggressive shave as reviewed previously.
