Over time, any leather will dry out and crack if not properly maintained. DOVO Leather Balm will replace lost oils, and keep the leather supple, so that your strop is always prepared to put the best edge on your razor.
  • Vaseline and lanolin balm for leather strops
  • Designed to preserve the life of leather strops.
  • Made in Germany.

Smear a very small amount of balm onto the palm of your hand and then very lightly rub over the surface of the strop to distribute the balm. A little balm goes a LONG way and you can always add more later if you need to.

Vaseline and lanolin.

balm a rama

Enough balm to last ages. you do not need to use a lot but if enough is used and let soke into strop it creates a nice conditioning layer in the leather. the razor i use is 95 years old and now back in top condition. Unfortunatly no one knew what happened to grandads strop.

A necessary item to care for your strop

There is enough balm to last you a long, long time. Use sparingly, nobody wants a strop that is caked in balm, it will just come off on your razor anyway.

Good stuff

I'd not maintained my strop in any way for about 4 years and this brought it back to like new.

Great to soften hardened strops

pretty simple, if you spend all this money on a good razor and strop you want to keep them in good order. this keeps your strop healthy and therefore your blade as well, in my case it softened my old hardening leather and made my strop like new again. One tip, put it on liberally at night and let the leather soak it all up overnight, when you check your strop in the morning you'll be surprised at the difference it makes.
