Slightly softer than Cella, I dipped my brush in this and did no more than three swirls to load the brush and I had the most creamy, lush lather - and lots of it. I had enough for a three pass shave and there was still plenty left, I could have shaved another two faces with how much there was left over. Super rich and fantastic buffering on the skin, this is outstanding value even though it is pricier than Cella it should last just as long because it is so concentrated and luscious.

Now the smell - OMG! It is just stunning. Delicate, masculine and classy. People on forums describe it as "marine" and that is a great description. This scent is so subtle but just a knock out. Very unique and distinctive. I'm tempted to get the 1805 aftershave and cologne to go with this because it is just that good a scent.

Excellent shave cream with a subtle, sophisticated scent.

This is a very good cream. Smooth and consistent from the package, it lathers beautifully. I'm a soap shaver and at first I thought I'd put too much water in the mix, but with a little more work produced a perfect lather. So it's forgiving too. It aslo holds moisture well - there was no sign of drying or going flat even when I was washing the brush out.

The scent is very subtle, almost too subtle for me to pick up. I brings to mind lemon mirtle to me. It's quite pleasant, but based on this I'm not going to rush out and buy more T&F 1805 scented products. I notice it more on my hands afterwards (I latherd in my palm).

How does it shave? Very well. Very good lubrication and softening; very smooth. The result is a very close shave on the first pass. The only down side was a slight greasieness on my skin which washed off without soap.

I received this as a 5ml sample which proved more than enough to two passes so while expensive it should last well.

All in all highly recommended.
