Finally... Review by: Paul 2/03/2017

... a product that effectively combats razor burn. I expected this stuff to sting like a b@st@rd but oddly enough it was more soothing than painful (the aloe vera helps). It really does the job. It smells like the love child of a bottle of Listerine and a camphor mozzie stick, but also oddly enough - that's not necessarily a bad thing either. It's quite a clinical 'clean' smell without being too obvious. Great value as the bottle will last you a long while.
Simply Awesome! Review by: Andrew 29/09/2016

I love this product! It is great for an aftershave as it soothes any razor burn and stopes bleeding on any small nicks. It's also good at keeping the skin under a short beard quite clean and healthy. The scent is nice too and not too overpowering or chemically. I had to wait for it to come back into stock so I guess it's quite popular! I highly recommend this product!
I simply Love this stuff.. Review by: Anthony 14/10/2013

This is one of my first "Thayers" products that I fell in love with.

I first purchased the sampler pack which allow you to use the entire range.

I use a dash of this after I have finished shaving, so it stings just a little, but gives off a nice scent and a "fresh" feeling.

The scent is somewhat "spicy" and reminiscent of the Floid Pre-Shave oil. That being said, the scent doesnt last long on my skin which is exactly what I want, as I follow up with a Balm and an aftershave!

Go get your self the sampler pack, or a bottle of this stuff! I love it!
Simple, useful, great Review by: Karl 14/01/2013

I've been using this for a while, and love it. Works great for razor burn, and acts as a gentle reminder when your technique gets a bit off. I also use it as a full face cleanser/ astringent, and it really helps keep things clear.
Makes a great aftershave splash for those who don't want something with extra scent.
Face Freshener! Review by: PeterM 28/04/2012

I love this stuff, and am a repeat customer. Liberally splashed on after a shave it gives a great refreshing feeling as well as soothing any razor burn you may have inflicted on yourself. The only downside is that is smells a little like hospital disinfectant, but not unpleasant and is not long lasting. As an extra, it also soothes bee stings! (don't ask)
For when you get it wrong... Review by: Stonie 17/08/2011

Worth having on hand, this stuff is great when you get your DE shaving really wrong. Stops cuts bleeding and sooths razor burn. For less severe mistakes and regular shaving I prefer an alum block.
Superb Review by: NinetySix 23/07/2011

I decided to put this stuff through its paces. I shave my head with a Merkur Futur @ setting 2 with Feather blades daily. Today i cranked it up to 3 and used a 3 day old blade (My blades are normally only comfortable for 2 full head and face shaves). Cringeworthy experience. Pretty heavy razor burn and irritation. Removed the bottle cap and added a few drops onto a cotton ball and applied to scalp. Voila! It was like it never happened. What razor burn? It has a faint smell of peppermint, the alcohol it does contain stings a little but it is really nothing compared to the sting of an old style aftershave, very mild. Camphor and Aloe Vera soothe the skin wonderfully, plus the usual astringent benefits of Witch Hazel. Exceptional at cleaning bacteria and infection and preventing or combating razor bumps. You probably don't need to use this stuff daily, but if you are learning the paces of traditional DE/Straight razor face/head shaving and need something which will fix you up when you go too far or make the mistakes you are bound to make; you really cant fault this superb product.
IT'S CHANGED Review by: Roger 18/05/2011
Rating:
Thought it only fair to do an update on this since they changed it. First up you'll notice you get a third less for the same money. Second, it's thicker and heavier than before, so you need a bit more for coverage, and it absorbs more slowly. The scent is more subtle. Can't say how this has changed its post shave performance as I use this with an aftershave, to ensure I don't get dry skin. It's still good value, but it used to be far better in all aspects in my opinion.
Unscented on steroids? Review by: Aussie 8/03/2011

This is very similar to the unscented witch hazel but on steroids.

Unlike the unscented, there is a very subtle smell, but it is really effective against razor burn.
