This is one of my favorite "go to" soaps; really easy lather, and the menthol has a great cooling effect on the skin. I find I use this more in summer. Great value too!

I seriously love this stuff - who doesn't - it works well and both smells and feels amazing. Unfortunately, rightly or wrongly, the use of parabens puts me off and makes this below average, so 2 stars. If parabens don't bother you this is a definite 5 star. I hope they reformulate it.

A well loved Italian shaving soap that should be in every wet shavers bathroom cupboard. As Tabac is a great winter soap, Proraso is a great summer soap leaving you with that fresh menthol and eucalyptus tingle.

I stumbled across this shave soap years ago and loved it. It's true, a pot will last your approx 6 months. After that first pot I could never find it again. Its great to see it here again and thanks to this site, I'm now back in the Proraso saddle.

I used Proraso shave soap for years, it's the ultimate bargain for shaving, lasts for months. There are better products (I now use Trumpers), but nothing beats this for value. The only thing I found was that the last bit of Proraso in the tub doesn't seem to lather up as well, maybe gets diluted from use. But you've more than got your money's worth by then!

A fantastic addition to the shaving tool kit. It lathers up nicely with a shaving brush and goes on nice and smooth. As a welcome side effect, I've found my skin has been much better since using this. Perfect partner to the Proraso pre-shave cream and aftershave balm.

this is a good quality solid performing shaving soap that is exceptional value for money. Only thing is the menthol gives it a strong cooling effect - great in summer but you may want something else to reotate to in winter (but collecting different soaps is all part of the fun)

I've tried the older brother of this fantastic product but let me assure you, if the proraso name lives on in the entire range of merchandise, I will be purchasing this magnificent cream. If Im going to shave each and every morning, I may as well enjoy it, and I can be assured that Proraso will be with me all the way.

I can't find a retailer of this product in NZ so I don't know what I'd do without mensbiz. The product is the greatest. I seriously don't know what I'd do without it.

I get a great shave from this, but I find the scent a bit off-putting. It's a little bit like generic soap. I prefer the scent and the gentler cooling effect of the White Proraso.

I've tried a few different soaps and creams now, and I always go back to Proraso. Something about the feeling of the menthol, and the ease of the shave keeps me coming back. Fantastic stuff, and highly recommended to anyone starting out with DE shaving.

Everyone should have a tub of this in their kit because its affordable and its such a tried-and-tested performer. Lathers up incredibly into a luxurious thick and protective foam. Cooling menthol soothes (some might say numbs) the skin and your skin can feel a bit dry at the end, but most wet shavers will either use an alum block, aftershave or moisturiser anyway.

HOW TO USE

Use a shaving brush to work up a lather. Apply to beard and wait 2 minutes to allow hair to soften. Shave and rinse. Seal the deal with a dash of Proraso Aftershave Lotion.

TIPS AND ADVICE

Ideally shave straight after a shower or hold a hot, wet towel over your face for a few minutes to soften the hairs.
