I purchased this mainly due to being so impressed by the pre/post shave cream.
It is now always my go-to cream for travelling when I cannot take my Mitchells Wool Fat Soap dish. I struggle to not use it every day because it does such a bloody good job.
I love the fragrance, it lathers easily, is nice on my skin and it is old school Italy.
Like the pre/post cream, I believe it is essential in any gents kit!

Fantastic for summer

I used a tube of Proraso last summer and loved it. The menthol is great. The lather builds quickly, easily and it's rich, It's actually hard to mess your lather up with this cream, which makes it great if you're just starting out in traditional wetshaving. Just ordered some for this summer, it's definitely going to be a regular.

This was the first shaving cream I purchased from Men's Biz, and it works very well, but my range of similar products for comparison is limited. It has a refreshing but subtle aroma that is not cloying. It lathers well, but I did receive a sampler of a Truefitt & Hill cream which lathered even better. For for the money Proraso is excellent - the tube has lasted me more than 6 months.

Not a bad cream... but heavily overrated. Lather is average at best. Sent is refreshing but by no means a stand out. Spend your money on a TOBS cream instead (used with badger brush and Merkur slant bar).

I've just bought my first tube of Proraso shave cream and I can tell you that it's like no other shave cream. Unscrew the cap and the first thing that you notice is its wonderful light scent, eucalyptus and menthol. Some creams are overpowering in smell, but this one makes you want to shave every morning. Supposedly, this stuff is legendary in Italy, and I can understand why. Use this stuff with a safety razor and you'll never dread shaving ever again. It is very moisturising to the skin and makes your razor glide over even the thickest of beards. Grab yourself a tube of this stuff.

This stuff is legendary cause it is so cheap yet so good. You only need to squeeze out just a little to get a good lather going. Nice subtle fresh afterscent as well.

the stock standard of shaving cream. this stuff is amazing. cheap, lathers beautifully and refreshing every time. I've used shaving creams that cost 3 times the amount, and while they've been great, I'm yet to use a shaving cream that's provided a better shave than Proraso. incredible value for money. there's a t-shirt Madonna used to wear in the 80's saying - "Italians Do It Better". must have been about Proraso.

Reasonably priced. Masculine. Refreshing. I particularly those aspects. Not every day needs to start with smelling like flowers or herbs. Close shave. Not as strong smelling as i was expecting but thats not necessarily a complaint. Requires more cream to get a similar lather to other top creams. But again an observation not a complaint.

I'll keep this on hand. Its very good.

Proraso is a great entry level cream. Lathers like a dream and in no time at all - a great cream to learn on. Also provides good comfort and is used by many daily. For me, I found it just a tad drying - may have been the menthol, but it was just enough to lose a star. None the less, a magnificent cream to have in the cabinet!

Lathers very well, the menthol has a great cooling effect and I like the Eucalytpus scent. The proraso shave cream (and soap) out perform many much more expensive shaving creams and soaps.

I started with Proraso, now generally prefer soaps, but come back to this as my preferred cream, because it provides a good shave, lathers as easy as looking at it, and the menthol cooling is great. Go to town and slather on the lotion, liquid cream or pre-post cream afterwards. Cool summer shaving at its best.

Use a shaving brush to work up a lather. Apply to beard and wait 2 minutes to allow hair to soften. Shave and rinse. Seal the deal with a dash of Proraso Aftershave Lotion.
