I gave an opinion on this elsewhere, but that was a while ago. Liked it a lot then, and even more now I use it properly. Pre shave it's 'meh' for me, now my lathering is good. Post shave, it's excellent IMO. I used to use way too much, hence my experience of it being tacky. You don't need much at all. I apply it with damp hands, it absorbs beautifully and gets the menthol going. Really works fast on burn or irritation, so is great for new DE shavers. Moisturisers very well too. I use this on weekend shaves, when I don't want to use up my AS lotions.

This is the subject of a lot of debate - some say it's most useful solely as a pre-shave prep, others say it's best only as an aftershave balm. While I'm probably leaning towards the latter view, that is only due to the concern that mentholated products ever-so-slightly numb the skin and prevent me from feeling a close shave as I'm going.
However you use it, this product will last for years and will give you one of the most clean, crisp feelings when you apply it to your damp face.
Along with my brush, razor, lather bowl and soap, this is the only product that stays permanently on my bathroom sinktop. 'nuff said.

This stuff is great, the eucalyptus and menthol leaves a refreshing tingle and its very soothing for the skin. You only need the smallest amount; the tub will last for ages! Excellent product at an excellent price.

An absolutely fantastic high quality product that will leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed. The menthol and eucalyptus smell wonderful and the 500ml tub is amazing value for money. I have no reservation highly recommending this product.
