After trying many different soaps and creams and enjoying the Musgo Aftershave I picked up a tube of MR Shave Cream.

In short this is a fantastic product that compliments the pre-shave glycerin soap and aftershave very well. It lathers readily and forms a nice protective lather.

I've had more success lathering in a bowl than face lathering with this product, but it just works as described.

Fantastic value and with the benefit of lanolin and glycerin it provides a great clean shave with no tacky residue.

Harder than your average cream to lather, I guess the gumminess comes from the lanolin. The extra effort is rewarded with a strong lather that is provides a very smooth glide. The sent is one of my favourites... earthy old school (used with badger brush and Merkur slant bar).

The smell is clean and refreshing -- although I have seen it described as "grassy" and that's a fair call -- otherwise it's what I imagine to be an old school barber shop smell. It allows a close shave and also smooth, I guess due to the lanolin. Note it also has witch hazel and jojoba in the formula. It is relatively easy to work into a lather, so I often use it on days where I don't have much time.

For me, not matter what combination of water and cream I used, it was just never quite slick enough. Would catch in particular areas and result in a small amount of razor burn. However, this product does get rave reviews and is the staple of many cabinets. Unfortunately, just wasn't for me.

Don't let the plain tube fool you - this is a top shaving cream with a masculine smell to it. Creates a fantastic lather too.

The word on Musgo is overwhelmingly good, but there are some dissenters. I'm one. This is very ordinary stuff to use, and actually causes me some hassles. Even mixing it quite wet, it has a rubbery kind of drag in places. It burns ever so slightly, but only while it's on. For some reason, the residue it leaves soaks up my AS, so I end up having to apply more. The resulting shave is pretty ordinary. It leaves my brush feeling rough after washing. On the plus side, it moisturises very well, but way too many downsides for me. Usually a cream just works well or not for me, but this actually gives me grief. Disappointed, really wanted to like this, as the AS is brilliant.

This is the best shave cream I have ever used.

Only a tiny dollop on my brush turns into an enormous quantity of thick, creamy lather that lubricates and moisturises my skin.

There is no drag, no rash, no burn and the resulting shave is as smooth as a good babe's bum.

Musgo Real shave cream is a quality product through and through.

I have been using the Personna blades, so for me, this look like the ideal set of shaving kit.
