This affordable, high quality straight razor uses disposable blades, so there's no need to purchase a hone, strop or any of the other gear. Because it's virtually maintenance free, it's well suited to those who are just starting out, travel regularly or don't want the difficulty and expense usually involved in caring for a traditional straight razor. When the blade gets dull, just remove it and insert a new one. Features a imitation tortoiseshell handle and aluminum shank for lightweight durability and includes one free Double Edge Blade to get you started. Made in Germany by Dovo Solingen and covered by a 2 Year Australian Warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: This razor comes with a Red Sleeve and takes Double Edge Blades by default. If you want to use the Long Dovo Shavette Blades with this razor, you will need to purchase a Black Sleeve (sold separately).

- Was just wondering how big this razor is? Just roughly, I am considering buying either this one or stainless steel one for my partner's birthday... He has always wanted one for ornamental purposes only so I don't care how good it shaves, it's just for his collection so wanted rough size!
Please/thank you :) - Overall, it's approximately 135mm. Length of the blade (cutting edge) is about 63mm.

HOW TO USE
Carefully slide the sleeve out of the aluminum shank by pulling gently on the far end. Open the sleeve and position the blade so that the holes line up with the notches in the sleeve (if positioned correctly, the blade should protrude slightly). Squeeze the sleeve closed making sure the blade does not move out of position. Carefully slide the sleeve back into the shank of the razor.

I personally like this shavette and will soon graduate to a real straight razor. Apart from anything else this is a really inexpensive way to shave and no strops!
